Massapequa Turkey Trot

The Massapequa Turkey Trot is back this Thanksgiving with a 5k run attracting nearly 2,000 runners of all speeds. For many, this event is a wonderful Thanksgiving Day tradition, ensuring the participants are ready for their Thanksgiving meal.

All net profits are donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to assist in their fight against blood cancers, as well as the John Theissen Children’s Foundation, which helps sick and underprivileged children across Long Island in any capacity possible.

Race Details: Fun Run starting at 8:30am within the interior loop at John J. Burns for children
Water Stop: At the one mile mark on West Shore Drive
Parking: DO NOT park in Burns if you want to leave right after the race; those parked in the West lot can leave after the race starts. There is ample parking at Marjorie Post Park & surrounding streets. No parking on the south side of Merrick Rd between the park and West Shore Drive as this is part of the course!
Registration: There will be limited day of race registration from 7:30am – 8:30am. The cost of the 5K is $35.00, Fun Run is $10.
Food/Drink: There will be bagels/bananas and water provided after the race
