Presented By: Massapequa Public Library & Historical Society of the Massapequas Dates: 05/12/202640 Harbor Lane, Massapequa Park, NY, USA
About
Step into the Revolutionary War as costumed re-enactors bring the Spirit of ’76 to life through dramatic readings of original letters, poems, and military dispatches by real Long Islanders!
Set against a Colonial-Era backdrop with period props, the program reveals the voices of Patriots, Loyalists, and British officers as they wrote of the uncertainty of war. Through these words, audiences will experience the fears, loyalties, and difficult choices faced by local residents, and will experience the human side of the Revolution through the words of those who lived it.
Registration is required for this event! Click here to register by May 12 at 7pm.
